Walk & Talk Coaching

About Walk & Talk

I developed Walk & Talk Coaching because I've seen first-hand how differently people process information, emotions, and experiences.

Whilst traditional coaching works well for some people, it doesn't work for everyone. Many of the neurodivergent people I work with find that sitting face-to-face can feel overwhelming, intense, or simply not the environment where they think most clearly. Walk & Talk Coaching offers an alternative.

By taking our sessions outdoors and walking side-by-side, we remove some of that pressure and create space for thoughts, emotions, and conversations to unfold more naturally. Movement can help regulate the nervous system, reduce overwhelm, and support deeper reflection, whilst nature often provides a sense of calm that many people find grounding.

It's a flexible approach that allows you to show up exactly as you are. Whether you need to walk, pause, sit, reflect, or simply take your time, the session is shaped around you.

Walk & Talk Coaching can be particularly helpful if you:

  • Find traditional face-to-face sessions intense or draining

  • Think more clearly when you're moving

  • Feel more comfortable side-by-side rather than being looked at

  • Experience social anxiety or find eye contact difficult

  • Process emotions through movement

  • Want a gentler, lower-pressure way to explore what's going on for you

  • Simply enjoy being outdoors and feel calmer in nature

Practical Details

  • Sessions are typically 60–90 minutes

  • Locations are chosen to be calm, accessible, and low-pressure

  • You do not need to be particularly fit or walk long distances

  • Routes can be adapted to your mobility, energy levels, and sensory needs

  • Sessions will be adjusted where needed based on weather conditions

  • We can take breaks, sit, or slow down at any point

  • The goal isn't the walk itself. The goal is creating an environment where you feel comfortable enough to explore, reflect, and be yourself.

What to expect:

We'll meet in a quiet London park or outdoor space and begin wherever you are that day.

There is no strict agenda and no pressure to arrive with everything figured out. Sessions are guided by what feels most important to you, whether that's exploring a challenge, processing emotions, navigating relationships, or simply creating space to think.

During our sessions we might:

  • Talk things through

  • Pause and sit when needed

  • Walk in silence

  • Explore what's coming up for you

  • Use coaching tools or reflective exercises

  • Follow wherever the conversation naturally leads

You are always in control of the pace, the depth, and how the session unfolds.
